[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

I don't have prescription glasses. My contacts are a thing of wonder, but I had some issues with them so I am taking a break. This means I wear 3 pair of cheap glasses. 1 far (+1.25), 1 near (+3.75), 1 computer (+3). I did get 10 pair for $35 on Amazon so that was cool. I have them laying all over the place.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That is clever, Laura. I was pleased with Zenni as I got a pair of reading glasses for $30, although had I gone with progressives that would have added another 70 or so to make them about $100. I was going to get a spare pair of distance glasses but then I realized I have old pairs at home that are pretty close to my current Rx, so no. But I think it would be useful to get a couple spare pairs for DH since he is more likely to lose his glasses, and he needs them more than I do.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

My Zenni bifocals run around $100.

OMG, medicating Kitty is turning into blood letting. I thought I got through the first two unscathed only to discover a couple of deep scratches on my belly. Tonight's dropper full garnered a gash on my wrist. 11 doses to go...I need more bandaids.

Thrive to spite them

Okay I am an idiot. I've been using the dishwasher here every chance I get because there is on. But the dishes just didn't seem to get clean.

Dad has what I thought were pods you just threw in. No. They are little compressed blocks of detergent. In a wrapper. Which I haven't taken off. I just discovered them and had to fish all the unwrapped ones out and it's surprise how clean stuff gets when there is soap involved.

I've also been wandering around without my glasses on. Mostly because it's really well lit here and also I'm reading a lit and it's easier to just leave them off.

I go home tomorrow. I still need to pack. I brought a light weight cotton dress down and decided to wear it back. Light weight and light colored and I seem to have packed only really colorful underwear. I'm pretty sure I'm going to say fuck it and not care.

I've been taking walks on the beach and skipping a bra. Just t shirt and shorts when not in a swimsuit. There are not a lot of people down and I decided I'm a middle aged fat woman with a bad hair cut and a sunburned face. I can go braless here and no one will care.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I need to make an eye doctor appointment soon. Doing anything for myself at the moment seems like too much work.

Once again I slogged through my day exhausted and now that it is bedtime, I can't sleep. Apparently I'm just nocturnal. I was trying to make reservations online for my birthday, but the place I really want to go is only open Wednesday-Saturday. Mom is cooking when we arrive Friday, Saturday Papa is coming down and we're celebrating our joint birthdays. So, I really wanted to go out with TCG Sunday or Monday. I guess I'll have to figure out another place.

I would have made the same mistake, askye. I've almost never had a dishwasher, so I am not wise to their ways.

Ugh. I hate fireworks. They set my anxiety off too. Every year I forget that there will be a ton of fireworks when we visit Mom. I guess we'll soon find out what ltc thinks of them.

Thrive to spite them

At first I thought there was someone pounding on the side of the house. And that freaked me out.

They seem to have stopped. Even with my general anxiety levels a lot lower day to day I just startle so mich easier and I'm not sure why. Need to ask my therapist about this.

I want the cataract surgery that gives you 20/20 vision with a new lens. How come I have to have cataracts first? I'm legally blind, dammit, isn't that bad enough.

You don't have to! That's essentially the surgery I had! Implantable contact lenses.
