[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

In mememe news, I'm at work sitting between two people wearing two different, overwhelming scents.

This time, it really IS my allergies.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I'm glad TCG is in your corner. Please try and cut yourself a bit of slack. Dealing with in-laws is not always easy.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks, Maria. My anxiety and depression were already a little worse this week. So, I'm probably overreacting to everything. Hopefully a long birthday weekend at the beach will help, but for today it's looking s of stress eating and napping when ltc naps.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm so sorry, sj. It isn't overreacting when you are being abused for being sane. I actually came up with a great response for the next family gathering that will involve DH's insane cousins. First Trump and/or Guns challenge that gets thrown out to try and get me going.

"I respect your parents too much to get involved in political arguments at a family gathering. How is kid enjoying summer camp?"

I am just prepping myself in advance with diversion comments. They will not bait me.

Always Anti-fascist!

Sj's inlaws: Could be worse. Could be me. I ought to hire myself out as Bad cop for situations like that, with the tat and the socialism...they'd be begging you to come back.

Erika, heh.

Thanks, everyone. Apparently TCG is also still really annoyed and hasn't let it go yet.

IBetterN, I'm trying to plan ltc's 1st birthday party, but I have no idea what I'm doing. Also even immediate family and close friends is so many people.

Poor TCG. It no doubt puts him in protective mode, naturally.

Thanks, Laura. We've also decided we're too embarrassed to go back to our local ice cream shop for a while.

I've been eating badly and watching too much TV lately. So I'm having my second cuppa this morning in the quiet of my bedroom and I'm going to try and actually read some library books before they're overdue while ltc naps. After that I will attempt to find something not crap to eat.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

sj, holy crap, that just makes me livid on your behalf. What a pile of assholes. You are not overreacting. I'm so glad TCG is supporting you.

If your insurance is balking, you can find CPAPs on eBay and the manuals are easy to find. That's how my doctor got me on one years ago when ponying up the $1500 co-pay for a sleep study was not-doable.

Good to know, thanks. I don't know if the insurance is really balking or if the device supply store is just incompetent. Given my test results and the doctor's order, there should be no problem with Cigna.

Doctor told me, though it's bad, he's seen people with worse sleep apnea than mine. I said how, are they just zombies? He said, pretty much.

I used to work with a man whose apnea was bad enough that he once fell asleep in the office in the middle of a phone call. Was sitting at his desk, sound asleep, head propped on his fist which was holding the phone.
