We did put Seamus to sleep Tuesday night. He was surrounded by people he loved and who love him. He enjoyed curling up in the crook of my arm and laying his head on my forearm, so I lay down on the floor and let him get into that position as the vet administered the injections.
Yesterday was crazy, trying to mourn and support Hubs as he mourned (he is much more demonstrative in grief than I am), attend a 3-hour Super-Duper Important Meeting for work on the latest Survey of Employees, and keep a doctor's appointment on follow-up from my nasal surgery.
Luckily, I have tomorrow off. Plan for the weekend -- collapse.
Oh my, Fred. Collapse seems like the best plan. Hugs and comfort to you and Hubs.
Oh, man, Fred, that sounds like a really hard day. Take good care of yourself.
I'm glad Seamus had a peaceful passing with you, Fred. And I hope you have a chance to rest soon.
I'm very sorry for your loss, Fred.
So sorry for your loss, Fred. Much peace to you and Hubs.
Sorry Fred. Hugs to you and Hubs.
I am self caring. My nephew is over here. I feel if u were "good" I'd entertain him because he's been here since 9:30. I did for awhile and begged off for a nap. Which isn't happening because he's exited about something and his voice carries anyway.
