Hil, I'd guess they pulled your record based on your phone number automatically, and asked for birthdate for security. (Signed, looks up people's library card accounts fairly often now.)
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Ah. That makes sense.
Ack, is right, Pix.
P-C, that is really lovely.
Shit I can't actually stay out loud to relatives: So, when we're in your area if we don't stay at your home, you'll never speak to us again, but when you're here, you cannot find an hour out of your busy schedule to see our house?
Oh sj, say it. Seriously, odds are they haven't even realized. Or maybe I just have an iron hide and wouldn't care if they never spoke to me again if they couldn't be bothered to accept my hospitality.
I'm in a mean and cranky mood today, though. So a whole damn saltshaker is definitely indicated.
I do have enough empathy to feel for Pix and puppy, though. Poor you, and poor wee doggy. NSM the ants.
P-C, it is lovely, and thank you for sharing it with us.
Tea:
TCG has a job interview this evening. Any spare job~ma would be appreciated.
Many much ~ma, TCG!
Job~ma for TCG.
Oh sj, say it. Seriously, odds are they haven't even realized. Or maybe I just have an iron hide and wouldn't care if they never spoke to me again if they couldn't be bothered to accept my hospitality.
No, it's in-laws, so I'm just going to shut up. But there seem to be a lot of people in our lives (and TCG feels this way too so it's not just me being crazy) who expect us to go out of our way to accommodate them and their schedule, but cannot accommodate us in any way when the situation is reversed. Of course, we also have many wonderful people in our live who are not this way at all, for which I am grateful.
It may be time to reverse their treatment and expectations of you onto them. IJS. They'll continue as long as you let them, in my experience.
Sorry. You came to vent, and I'm giving unsolicited advice. But their behavior makes me angry on your behalf.
Thanks, Beverly. We are actually going to see them, just not at our home, which I didn't make clear. It just sort of makes me feel like a low priority in people's lives when these things happen.
Thanks for the job~ma. I would really love it is TCG worked a little closer to home (this job would cut about 15 minutes off his commute), and this job would be a step up for him career-wise.
