I got some sleep, on and off. I still have more geometry grading to do, and I'm trying to decide whether to attempt that this afternoon or leave it until tomorrow. (The advantage of finishing it today would be that I just realized that an Indian movie that I really want to see is playing at a theatre in one of the Cincinnati suburbs, and if I finish grading today, then I can go see it tomorrow. It's the first mainstream Bollywood movie to have a gay character that's not a punchline or a predator, and it's been getting really good reviews. Unlike another Bollywood movie that's playing right near me, about a married couple where the wife has a high-power corporate career and the husband is a stay-at-home husband, which has been getting terrible reviews, including one that said, "This movie tries to be progressive, but ends up as 'Mansplaining: The Movie.'")

I put out the s-rail and Conductor Whiskers keeps stopping by, but I never see them.

Bob the Cat and Chairman Meow have visited me a few times but never when I can see them.

Meanwhile, our boy saw the optometrist yesterday. He needs glasses. He was asking me about when I got glasses (first week of kindergarten), if the kids laughed. They gave him the drops to dilate his pupils. (It's very hard to tell, his eyes are so dark.) With kids, they need to use stronger drops, his eyes could be dilated for a week. His sunnies are now way too small, so Biyi picked up new sunglasses today. May need them at school this week. Two pairs - one regular kids' set, one little set of aviator glasses. Little Joe Cool. He'll keep one set, we take the other one back.

"Which pair do you like best, Ryan?"
"I like the blue ones best."
"Really? What about the other ones? Don't you think they make you look cool?"
"Yeah, but I don't want to make the other kids in class feel bad."

Isn't that thoughtful of him? I'm sure the other kids appreciate his efforts to rein in his cool.
