I was under the impression that I was your big comfy blanky.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Stop the presses, I have pics of Bob!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Conversations with Ryan:

"Mummy, can we go and visit New York?"
Why do you want to visit New York, Ryan?"
"They're having an election there."
"You're not American, you can't vote in their election."
"I'm not eighteen either. It'd be fun anyway."

Meanwhile, our boy saw the optometrist yesterday. He needs glasses. He was asking me about when I got glasses (first week of kindergarten), if the kids laughed. They gave him the drops to dilate his pupils. (It's very hard to tell, his eyes are so dark.) With kids, they need to use stronger drops, his eyes could be dilated for a week. His sunnies are now way too small, so Biyi picked up new sunglasses today. May need them at school this week. Two pairs - one regular kids' set, one little set of aviator glasses. Little Joe Cool. He'll keep one set, we take the other one back.

"Which pair do you like best, Ryan?"
"I like the blue ones best."
"Really? What about the other ones? Don't you think they make you look cool?"
"Yeah, but I don't want to make the other kids in class feel bad."

Isn't that thoughtful of him? I'm sure the other kids appreciate his efforts to rein in his cool.

Our wings are not tired.

"Yeah, but I don't want to make the other kids in class feel bad."

Awww, you can fight the cool, man. He has to just get used to being extra cool.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Aw, Ryan. Too cute,

I have renamed Tubbs to El Gordo, because. Also, Xerxes left me a momento - pretty stones. Yay!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I have renamed Tubbs to El Gordo, because.

I've thought about renaming Tubbs to Toke, but then that seems a little mean, even if it's accurate.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Ryan stories continue to be a great way to start the day. He's so adorable!

You guys, as of today I have an 8 month old! How is this year going by so fast!?!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

What? No, you don't. It's been like two months, max.

I know! But she is starting to crawl and babbling like crazy and eating everything I give her. Last night was yogurt for the first time, which she loves.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"
