'Objects In Space'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Yeah. I'm at home, on my couch. It's not too bad yet, but I can feel it coming on. And I need to get to sleep soon, because I need to teach in the morning, but worrying about teaching and waking up on time is making things worse. But I can't fall asleep like this, either.

Our wings are not tired.

Hil, what has worked for you in the past? Staying up a bit later and watching Comedy Central or something may be better than trying to force sleep that will not come.

Thanks. I'll put on the TV, see if that helps. I set the alarm on my phone, so that if I do fall asleep on the couch, it will wake me up in the morning.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

So much love to you, Hil.

Thanks. I've got Grace Under Fire on, and I'm eating some leftover pad thai. Not sure about sleep, but I feel like my heart rate is calming down a little.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Good. Keep at it. You're doing a great job.

Thanks.

I planned tomorrow's calculus classes to start with a worksheet reviewing the stuff we did right before spring break, because I know they'll have forgotten it, and they've got a test next week. Next Friday is going to be a huge pain. I'm covering a 9:00 class for a coworker, and then there's a midterm at night, which means I'll be there grading until about 10 or 11.

I do hope that restful sleep happened and that today is a much better day.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Hil, I hope you're feeling better today.

I took care of some onerous tasks this morning, mostly updating the expiration date for my credit card on various auto-payments. I'm waiting to hear back from my uncle about when the services are for my grandfather. The death notice wasn't in the paper today. I appreciate the support, but there is absolutely no way I can skip the services, nor would I really want to. I'll figure it all out.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Much see-it-through~ma for you, sj; it's a tough position to be in.

I've expanded my yard and I've got lots of kittehs. I bought the cowboy hat and got Billy the Kitten. So cute--he wears it, but all the other kitties sit in it.
