[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Cheers smonster.
Today I discovered that my health insurance plan was discontinued, so for a slightly higher premium, I am now getting far less coverage.
I fought with the plan for 6 months, during which a computer glitch cancelled my insurance 4 times, saying I had not paid, when I did. So, when the open enrollment came around, I was so terrified of sparking another round of mayhem, I didn't even think about changing anything.
In amongst the tons of mail I received from Kaiser, I did not see anything about my plan being 'discontinued.' But apparently is it was. So my $1750 deductible with $3500 out of pocket is now $2750 with $5000 out of pocket.
I just cancelled all the remaining tests.
Screw it. I'm just going to assume that the mass is a fibroid and get on with my life. Meanwhile, I will continue to pay for coverage that is essentially useless to me.
I can't even anymore.
Arggh bonny, that is such bullshit on Kaiser's part! I mean I get your response, fibroid is by far the most likely cause. But they shouldn't make it cost prohibitive to find out for sure.
Oh Bonny, insurance companies are so ridiculously evil. Many of my customer doctors believe we will end up with single payor and/or socialized medicine at some point in our life times, but it can't happen fast enough. Our system is horribly broken.
Oh fuck, bonny. That's just evil. Your decision to say fuck it is totally understandable and it's probably a fibroid. But what evil fuckery.
I'm sorry to bring down the thread!
A friend came and took me out for a nice walk. The weather is lovely.
Now to bed and hitting the big, red reset button in hopes of a better day.
Thanks for the encouragement.

Not. Soon. Enough.
