Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Just discovered this local (San Diego) business that I think some here may dig. Upcycled booze bottles:

Discovered because of a Groupon.

But as they have a website, should be available, should the product appeal to anyone here.

Thrive to spite them

Mom wanted to put up a real tree this year (my brother's GF is allergic so my nephew hasn't had a real tree that he remembers). I'm allergic to Xmas tress too! No real tree. Plus I pointed out to Mom we have 2 cats in the house and limited space. Penny has never been around a tree because of limited space and also she likes to chase shiny things and shadows AND jump on things so I figured any tree would end up on the ground with crushed ornaments. Don't know if Mom's cat has been around a tree.

Compromise is real tree set up outside with outside lights and decorations that can handle being outside but nothing food oriented (because of racoons).

Thrive to spite them

I'm going to FL tomorrow where it's warmer So I look for my summer clothes. I had packed twice the stuff I wasnt wearing and the stiff I was plus odds and ends. I can't find the stuff I packed first. Which means its...not here. Maybe I'll find them but I've been through every box and bag .

It's frustrating but I'm not beating myself up over it.

....and Mom found the boxes.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

That weird moment of reflected twitter glory where you think you're blowing up, but only cause one of the Cool Kids replied(And I bet, with still mad respect for Chris Hayes, that, good as he seems, he's never been a CK before, right?) Not quite as great as Cory Booker(Which was like being retweeted by a Beatle in 1964, with, like, "luv" attached, but it is totally making my newsgeek heart beat faster. His wife would bury me in paperwork if I tried anything...she's an admin lawyer) And I'm still not concentrating well and stuff over the pet-grief thing, but CHRIS HAYES KNOWS MY FAKE NAME, YOU GUYS!

We journalists love our shop talk. Although on some level, I wish it was that half of America discovered my broke, crippled ass was a genius. Maybe next year.

Thrive to spite them

waves to Laura.

I'm in FL. I checked out Neverwhere as read by Neil Gaiman to listen to on the drive down and a book I'd never reat but looked interesting. I discovered I can't listen to audiobooks on long drives. I got too interested. .. in both.

Luckily I had a bunch of spotify playlists set up for offline mode so I listened to those. Bluegrass covers were quite interesting.

Even though it was dark I could tell developed have decided tallahasee doesn't need trees and needs more buildings.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Askye, I like audiobooks for long drives, but they have to be books I've read. Otherwise I get too distracted.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm the exact same way. Although I don't recommend David Sedaris for long drives unless you want to drive into a ditch from laughing so hard.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm just the opposite. When I have tried audio books I end up noticing that I haven't been paying attention to the book because I have been too distracted by the driving, or my other thoughts. They don't hold my attention. This may be related to my inability to watch TV without a pause and rewind option.
