waves to Laura.
I'm in FL. I checked out Neverwhere as read by Neil Gaiman to listen to on the drive down and a book I'd never reat but looked interesting. I discovered I can't listen to audiobooks on long drives. I got too interested. .. in both.
Luckily I had a bunch of spotify playlists set up for offline mode so I listened to those. Bluegrass covers were quite interesting.
Even though it was dark I could tell developed have decided tallahasee doesn't need trees and needs more buildings.
Askye, I like audiobooks for long drives, but they have to be books I've read. Otherwise I get too distracted.

I'm the exact same way. Although I don't recommend David Sedaris for long drives unless you want to drive into a ditch from laughing so hard.
I'm just the opposite. When I have tried audio books I end up noticing that I haven't been paying attention to the book because I have been too distracted by the driving, or my other thoughts. They don't hold my attention. This may be related to my inability to watch TV without a pause and rewind option.
So FB email tells me that it is Amy's birthday, that would be the amych variety of Amy. Since I really don't want to go in there at the moment, even in a limited scope -
Happy birthday, amych!!! I hope that you are being well and truly spoiled today.
Yesterday I got the flu shot and the pneumonia shot. Today I have a fever of 101. My doctor seems unconcerned by this. Thank goodness TCG had a random day off to pick up the slack with ltc because I feel terrible.
Oh dear, sj. I hope it gets better quickly.
sj, sorry to hear the vaccinations are being nasty. Combined shots suck. The Navy had a habit of doing 3fers on me (you're transferring, let's give you all the shots!) and I was always super sick.
Hi, all!
Just wanted to pop in and say not dead. Feels like it some times; my new job is exhausting both mentally and physically. I've rearranged a conference room and set up a catered lunch, which I will then have to clean up and return to it's normal configuration. I've already walked over 8000 steps through the hospital and its environs, and it's barely noon. Most days I don't hit that until I leave.
askye, I'm glad to hear the move has gone relatively well, despite the bumps in the road (figurative and literal.) Being close to family, even when you don't want to be
close,
makes a big difference when you know they'll be supportive.
erikaj, so sorry about the kitty. We do our best and it's something we should take comfort in, not feel guilty for. Lots of {{{}}}.
Sail! On the job workout, well done.
Anybody hear from Ginger in the last couple days?
