Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry, erika.

Librarian Warlord

So sorry, erika. Wishing things were different seems like a perfectly sane response to sad things.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I'm so sorry, erika.

brillig

I was having a fairly decent evening, even without Agents of SHIELD, till I got home and found advertising material from a funeral home addressed by name in the mail. Just the thing to make the holidays bright!

Fuck, an IUD hurts a LOT to put in. Way more than the biopsy.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

YES! Yes, it does. The doctor who put mine in had horrible people skills, which made it even worse. He also, apparently, did not take the time to actually read my chart, as he asked how many kids I had (none, dumbass), and then told me, when he was going over the risks, that if it got into a bad position, they could go in laproscopically, and then just tie my tubes at the same time, which was a big DO NOT WANT. Ahem.

I wish that, at the previous appointment, they had said, "This will hurt like a son of a bitch. And then you will have cramps, and it will be awful for a few days."

Seriously. Although yesterday I stumbled across a post from the Royal College for Women, where they talk about how they use either general or local anesthetic to put in IUDs. !!! Why not me!
