Illyria: Wesley's dead. I'm feeling grief for him. I can't seem to control it. I wish to do more violence. Spike: Well, wishes just happen to be horses today.

'Not Fade Away'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Question answered elsewhere... never mind...

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I adulted today. I worked for 4 hours, did my grocery shopping, put gas and oil in my car, wiped the headlights with stuff to make them clearer, and now I'm doing laundry, because it seems, no one else in this building does theirs on Sat. They all do it on Sun. like I do. Huh.

I had to tell some one that I adulted for a change.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Yay, adulting! You get a shiny gold star

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I applaud the adulting! Gold star from me, too.

It's a working weekend, where the work is researching breweries and beer stuff in Birmingham, AL. So interviews, running around, drinking beer. I'm so tired and OD'd on beer - not drunk, just low level thick-headedness and full stomach and tastebuds full of malt and hops.

It's been a long day - a good, productive day - but a long one. I love my job, but it's definitely work!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, adulting!

We went to Mario Batali's new Babbo restaurant in Boston tonight to celebrate our 5th anniversary. So good!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Because I'm sure everyone was dying to know the outcome of the You Must Eat Outside In 40-Degree Weather scenario...some people did, in fact, eat outside. They built a big fire in the fire ring and bundled up and ate outside. Some of us ate inside because we couldn't feel our toes. It all worked out without me having to Hulk out.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Glad you didn't have to go all Hulk on them, Steph! And stayed warm.

I did some adulting today. Not enough, but I never do enough of it. I did some end-of-season yard work, refilled the bird feeder, cleaned and refilled the birdbath, and drained and put away the hoses. And then I was exHAUSted, so I did some work-type work, and then my sister came over, but she also was tired from yard work, so she brought me food and we hung out for a bit and she approved my choice of floor covering and then she went home. I'm not much into the Dem Debate tonight, so I'm recording it in case I care tomorrow, and now I'm going to bed.

brillig

I adulted and unfucked and distressed my world. I noticed that I was becoming anxious as I sat at my desk here at home, unwilling to get up and do things in the house. After a while of tracking down the reason, I figured out that the way to get to my chair at my desk was cramped, and getting out again involved stepping carefully over and around things. I am not nimble, and the awkwardness was converting into a feeling of being trapped. So I've cleared out the space, which involved actually going through boxes--many of which could be dumped wholesale (see previous posts about coping with Hubby's stuff)--and clearing out spots on shelves so stuff I wanted to keep had a place to go that wasn't in my way. There's even a dresser in the room that can be removed once the stuff on top of it has a better home. Progress, it's slow but real.

Thrive to spite them

We didn't make it to NC but are about 5 hours away. We were looking at getting in at 1:30 am. The hotel isn't as nice as the previous one but it works.

Penny was okay today but I had to give her a second dose. Tomorrow we're going to try without meds.

I was very much the adult and held my tongue when Mom interrupted me several times to go off on her on weird side story. I've also noticed she's a bit....possessive of E. Maybe not that but she talks about him more as if he were hers and it can be kinda weird. I knew she did that but it's more obvious on person.

Anyway home tomorrow.

Our wings are not tired

I worked a 13.5 hour day today that started at 6 AM.
