I watched 6 episodes of Miss Fisher's, and while there was much to love about it, I found myself a little bored. She was great, it looked great, but the stories were super formulaic. Does it get better?
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I got bored, too. Miss Fisher is gorgeous and smart and rich, comes upon someone downtrodden, saves that person, probably adopts them somehow.
I think the stories get a bit more varied, especially in season three. You meet more of Phryne's family, and a lot of things about her click into place. She adopts less and sleuths more. A lot of the adoption stuff in season one was a way to get her cast in place, and I think it suffered from being streamable in three hours instead of spread over multiple books and years.
The books are very different than the tv show...there are lots of characters but they are introduced at different rates and Phryne's background is different. But I like the series, it's not one I can binge watch usually just 2 episodes at a time.
I'm cold. I don't know the temp outside but I'm cold and I'm worried this means I'm coming down with something.
I did sort through some stuff and tomorrow I'm going to try and make a run to goodwill to get rid of the stuff I have pulled aside. And the grocery store to redeem diet coke cans. Then I can start adding more stuff to the get rid of pile.
ltc is 2 months old today. She's outgrown most of her newborn sized clothes and is officially in size 1 diapers rather than the newborn ones.
Wait, seriously TWO months already? How did that happen?
ltc is 2 months old today
Surely you mean 2 weeks. HOnestly, 2 months? Which, you're her mother, of course you know, but gosh.
Crosspost of disbelief!
Now I want to watch that show. Too bad I can't remember the name of it.
My brain is wiggly I'm so tired.
I know! It's craziness. It's already moving too fast.
