Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

ltc is already being spoiled by her grandparents.

As is should be, especially in an Italian family!

I am paying a stupid tax.

No, not a stupid tax. We are living in the 21st century, and one would think it wouldn't take *days* to have the power turned on. I'm boggled by this. I wish I was closer to help you out.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Stupid because it's New Orleans and I should anticipate ass-backwardness. The tampering fine is $300-$500. If it were only $100 or so, I would get my electrician neighbor to turn it on for me. I asked if I could pay a "rush job" fee or something, but that doesn't exist. Apparently, my best bet is to invent a grandma on a respirator. Which I'm not going to do.

Hey, aren't "free markets" that are actually monopolies awesome? Great customer service. And then there was the time they gouged customers after Katrina with $1000 electric bills. Yup, they're so wonderful.

Smonster, moving is difficult. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Moving is complicated. I'm still not done with all the paperwork I have to do, and I officially moved three months ago.

Tonight was a midterm night, which meant a 17 hour work day for me. I was on campus until about 12:30. (Walking across campus after midnight is a little creepy.) And I had a ton of caffeine to keep me up and working that late, and now it's going to take forever for me to fall asleep.

Our wings are not tired

Hil, what part of campus are you teaching on? Not that I would probably recognize much of the campus now, but I do have lots of memories of all the time I spent over in the corner of campus where CCM is located.

I teach one class in the college of education, which is over on that side of campus.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Laura, thanks for the update.

Hil, I hope you get some rest.

Thrive to spite them

So the oil tank/furance cleaning thing is happening. Well furance replacement I won't have a new one until Monday which is no big deal since I won't have oil delivered until Monday or Tuesday.

My place is a mess, there is trash on the floor. I'm not hoarder but Clean Sweep or wahtever that show was with Nicey Nash -- that's me. But I'm beyond caring.

Right now I'm hungry and want to eat but don't want to make something until they are gone. Also FSU is playing tonight and it will be on ABC I can watch it! (I don't have espn). I should have gotten a pizza. I may just get chinese food.

And I need to call mom but again, I'm waiting for the workmen to leave to make calls because they are in and out of the house.

Oh, yay! We're back. I couldn't check in here during my middle of the night feeding.

I think that the Bitches would appreciate this:

Things I Have Yelled At My Television, Which Cannot Hear Me, While Watching “Miss Fisher’s Mysteries” During My Convalescence

I have only seen one episode when I was home in DC and I loved it intensely, but it has not been shown here in CT.
