Inara: So. Would you like to lecture me on the wickedness of my ways? Book: I brought you some supper, but if you'd prefer a lecture, I've a few very catchy ones prepped. Sin and hellfire... one has lepers.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Thanks for passing on the word, Laura.

Okay, good. Thank you for letting us know!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Long heavy traffic ride to the beach and the seafood shack down the street is out of lobster rolls, but I'm so happy to finally be back here

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Thanks for the update, Laura.

sj, I'm glad you're out and about and introducing ltc to all of you favorite things.

Thanks, Maria. The fried scallop roll, the chowder, and the stuffie were all delicious. And ltc is already being spoiled by her grandparents.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Thanks, Laura.

askye, way to go on being productive. Gold star.

Hi bonny! Def good to see your pixels.

Man, damn. I am paying a stupid tax. With one thing and another this week, I didn't get around to arranging to have the power turned on at the new place (it was on until yesterday). Of course Entergy, the wankers, can't turn it on until Tuesday. I looked into getting around that, but the fine is… prohibitive. So now the plan is to move all the furniture tomorrow and sleep on an air mattress until Tuesday. It sucks because I wanted to be basically done by Sunday night, but now I'm going to have to deal with moving stuff during the week and possibly missing work.

As is should be, especially in an Italian family!

No, not a stupid tax. We are living in the 21st century, and one would think it wouldn't take *days* to have the power turned on. I'm boggled by this. I wish I was closer to help you out.

Stupid because it's New Orleans and I should anticipate ass-backwardness. The tampering fine is $300-$500. If it were only $100 or so, I would get my electrician neighbor to turn it on for me. I asked if I could pay a "rush job" fee or something, but that doesn't exist. Apparently, my best bet is to invent a grandma on a respirator. Which I'm not going to do.

Hey, aren't "free markets" that are actually monopolies awesome? Great customer service. And then there was the time they gouged customers after Katrina with $1000 electric bills. Yup, they're so wonderful.

Smonster, moving is difficult. Don't be so hard on yourself.
