I fed off a flowerperson, and I spent the next six hours watchin' my hand move.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Good girl!

Mmm, Mexican. Maybe that's what sounds good for lunch...

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Epic, I'm sorry you're having so much trouble with the home healthcare providers.

I managed to get through lunch. Now a quick trip to the Gap and then rush home to nurse again.

I should probably feel guilty about returning a baby gift and buying myself something instead of something for ltc. But the clothes weren't going to fit her in the correct season, and ltc has a ton of clothes while I have absolutely nothing that fits me right now.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Epic, you might consider a lower level of care if she doesn't need nursing care but isn't quite safe on her own. There are companions out there that, for much less cost than a nurse, can prepare meals, help with meds, drive to appointments or the market, etc. Worth a look. Then again, less cost than a nurse may still be spendy, but it might make your life easier knowing someone is there with her 2 or 3 days a week.

Screw guilt. You just made a human. Buy whatever you want.

Rain! Brief rain. Acutally, still kinda falling. I was in my 89ºF office (no a/c, thank you LEED Platinum building) thinking "it smells like rain", and then the skies opened up!

(Observations from a really hot person in the Southern California drought, who is not focusing well on work today.)

The status is NOT quo.

It is not raining in Pasadena. And it was 109 according to my car on the drive home. PLEASE LET IT RAIN.

It's supposed to rain here for the next three days. Please let it rain. Rain rain rain.
