I gave her everything... jewels, beautiful dresses -- with beautiful girls in them.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I hope you got some good rest last night, Ginger.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Between the pain being better and exhaustion, I slept like a rock. This pain is weird. I don't know if I pulled something, broke another rib or if it's related to the lung. I haven't been coughing hard or anything like that.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Ginger, I'm glad you got some relief and some sleep. I'm sorry the hospital wasn't more helpful.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Oh, Ginger, how frustrating.

What is even happening?

Ginger, I'm so glad you're so smart about you. Don't let them drag you in.

One more week of TCG working part time until he goes back full time. So far the biggest problem has been keeping myself fed. I suspect this problem will only get worse when TCG won't be hear to keep me fed in the morning hours. So, I guess I need to figure something out.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

sj, I always kept a nearby stash of nuts, Kind bars, trail mix, etc. Oh and cheese and olives worked well too when I wasn't in the mood for sweet.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Caregiver who was supposed to show up at my mom's at 8:30 this morning, didn't. Called the company at 9:00 to find out what's up (this is the FOURTH no show in *counts on fingers* 12 days). Good news, the caregiver not showing means the Director, who's an RN and who my mom really likes, will be with her unless/until a sub can be found. Bad news, I mentioned this is the FOURTH time (and that's three different caregivers, not just one enormous flake)? We really like the Director, but it's like she's the only competent one on the staff or something...

Good news, my mom's coming back really strong from the stroke last month, to the point that we were talking about discontinuing the care either at the end of the month or after 4 weeks or something anyway. Bad news, she had so many falls when she was on her own these past few months that I'm very hesitant to leave her on her own, even though, other than just Being There, there's just not that much for the caregivers to do.

So wisdom and good decision-ma is the request of the day.

Ginger, how're you doing?

sj, how's ltc today? Besides perfect, of course. :)

Right now she is letting me eat lunch out with my mother. She's sleeping in the stroller while we are out at a Mexican restaurant.
