You'd never make it. I'd rip your spine out before you got half a step. Those little legs wouldn't be much good without one of those.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Thank you, everyone. There's so much socio-economic, racial, and ethnic bullshit tied up in his death. I have to avoid the comments on the online articles.

Epic, good thoughts and prayers are headed your way. I hope you can find a little grace to get through the next bit.

Sail, what everyone else said. He needs an advocate on the ground there.

I've googled for advocacy groups in Phoenix, but haven't found one yet that I think is workable. One of the more prominent ones that came up also came with a ton of bad reviews. It's going to be tough to sort the wheat from the chaff long distance.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Ow. My plan was to get to bed by ten tonight. My shoulder has other ideas.

So, I've got a lot of class prep stuff to do today. Of course, my shoulder is still hurting like hell, and I've barely got use of my right arm.

Our wings are not tired.

I hope the shoulder pain eases soon.

Hi there mama! How are you and ltc settling in together?

For those of you who are not on my personal Facebook, if you are in the vicinity of Kansas City, my 43rd birthday party is tomorrow from 830pm to about 130 am -- or until I collapse.

If you are in the area or likely to be in the area and don't have the information from my facebook page, I would be delighted to have you. It will be very low key soiree in my house in Kansas City. All are welcome as long as they are no drama llamas! AN eclectic group of interesting people will bE there!

If you plan, on the spur of the moment to attend, please just give me a heads up. I do have some extra places for people to sleep, first come, first served -- but if you plan on staying it might be wise to bring some extra pillows and blankets I DO Jhavesome! and if you have an air mattress, that would be good thing to bring.

We have plenty of room for people to spread out so that's no problem.

Sleeping arrangements are a go -- if you're too far to make it from home when you've been drinking then you may stay the night or you may take a cab home.

I will be collecting key chains just in case you are not able to make it home safely, or pouring you in a cab.

Cheers! Oh, RSVP. So I know what munchies and potables to acquire.

Caveat: I have three cats and a dog, so bring Benadryl or prescription allergy meds.

Give me a heads up if you wish to come!

We're settling in okay. TCG goes back to work part-time next week, which I'm not looking forward to. Meanwhile ltc has her days and nights confused. She sleeps happily between feedings during the day but wants to party until 3 or 4 AM at night. Any advice on reversing this would be highly appreciated.

Give me a heads up if you wish to come!

I want to come! Where is my transporter?

Others may report otherwise, but I found that any attempts to alter babies eating or sleeping schedule was an exercise in frustration. They do all settle into a normal routine when they are ready. In the meantime I let sleeping babies sleep whenever it was, and fed them when they wanted to eat. See also, when baby sleeps you should too, even if it is backwards.

Really, the only thing you can do, sj, is wake her up during the day and try to keep her that way with noise & action. It's so tempting to let her sleep in during the morning when you've been up during the wee hours, I know, but she will get the routine.
