Thanks, everyone. I had an ultrasound today, which went well except we have a very stubborn little girl who doesn't stay still, making the tech's job harder. Then I stopped by my OB's office because my own bloodsugar was low today. Readjusting meds again, this time downward. Two weeks until baby day!

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
C is still holding on tonight. No real update other than that.
I think I am going to have to rewash all the baby clothes I inherited from my cousin's baby. Mom already washed them once, but I just finished reorganizing them and I'm itchy and my lungs are tight. Whatever she washed them with the first time was nasty.
How bad are cotton things likely to shrink if I wash them in warm water?
It's baby stuff: it's only gonna fit for a short time anyway, so I wouldn't worry too much. If it's gonna shrink that it wouldn't fit a day old, it was only going to be useful a few days anyway.
Thanks, sarameg. I was thinking similarly, and I think I have a better chance of getting the smell out if I wash in warm water.
sj, I'm sure that you have everything well in hand, but I can't help but say if you need anything, I am happy to get in the car and do whatever you need. In fact, if I find out that you needed help and didn't call me, I will be very upset ;) Looking forward to meeting ltc! (when you're ready, don't have guests before you feel like it)
Thanks, Vortex. The house is almost at the level where I wouldn't be mortified to have people see it. My in-laws are probably going to still bitch about all the books when they're here this weekend. We'd love to have you over, and I feel horrible I haven't made it happen yet.
Still working on unpacking stuff. My goal was all boxes unpacked by the end of the week, but the kitchen boxes are taking a lot longer than I'd thought. Every single item is individually wrapped in paper, and there are a bunch of layers of paper inside the boxes, too. Plus, I need to stop and think about where each thing goes once I unwrap it. Books are much easier to unpack. (I decided that I'm just going to get the books onto shelves in whatever order, then organize them later.)
Also, I tripped and fell when I was bringing some empty boxes out to the side of the house for recycling earlier today. It didn't hurt much then, but it's starting to hurt now.
I'm sorry about the fall, Hil.
Hil, I hope you're feeling better from the fall tomorrow. Try not to push yourself too hard with the unpacking.
