Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.

Thrive to spite them

Nora -if you don't know about D-Mannose supplements you might want to try them. It's the sugar in the cranberries that attract the bacteria. It doesn't cure the UTI but it can help shorten the duration and the bacteria will go and cling to the sugar and get flushed out of your system.

Most health food stores have it.

For the discomfort it helps to stay away from acidic foods (citrus, cranberry), alcohol (which I realize doesn't work with your job), and spicy food.

The other thing I do for comfort is (white fonted) when I have a UTI (or IC flare up that causes pain) instead of toilet paper I use a Perineal Wash Bottle - like this [link] with plain warm water like a bidet. I find the warm water is soothing and it helps keep things cleaner. You can also try hot or cold packs that can help.

Thrive to spite them

And, finally (I'm a so sorry to spam)

I got an email from my therapist - she got an statement from my insurance - they paid for all my visits in June. She hasn't gotten the statment for July but I bet they paid for those too.

I met the deductible! She's sending me a check to reimburse me what I paid her. I won't have to pay her for the rest of the year. I don't know if this will be all my doctors appointments but I'm not worrying about it.

Weirdly this has given me energy to go and mow my yard. Well the part that people can see from the street, the side yard can wait.

Calli, all my sympathies for your loss; your aunt sounded like a wonderful person.

That's great news about your insurance, askye! Less stress from worry can't hurt.

Ugh. I like my new job, but so much of it is herding cats that it can get a bit onerous. I spent my first 90 minutes today e-mailing for folks schedules before I could even send out meeting invites. And even that hasn't been done in every case, because people don't respond to the requests in a timely manner. Blah.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My aunt emailed me to ask me to friend my uncle on Facebook, because my mom told her about some photo that I'd posted there, and she wants to log on to my uncle's account to see it. I have no idea why she can't just get her own account. And I'm emailing her the photo, because I don't want to friend my uncle.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Hil, my sister does that sort of thing. She asks me to send her photos her daughters have posted on FB and what they're writing about.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm constantly having to send my mother pictures of people (mostly babies) because she won't get her own facebook account.

Long day. I had my OB appointment, and I have apparently reached the stage of pregnancy where I get to go twice a week for ultrasounds. So, they fit me in for an ultrasound today and then was able to get lunch. Lastly, I was finally able to go get my compression socks in the right size. Please let me never have to go back and deal with that man ever again.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Twice weekly ultrasounds? Sounds unfun, sj.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Pokes head in thread...

Um. Hi. Been dark a bit. Just been active in games. Thought I'd drop in and say hi. It's summer, so schedule is a lot slower. Hopefully have time to keep up with the thread for awhile.

Hi, omnis! How are things? (Other than seasonally slow.)

Yes. I guess it's standard procedure in high risk, especially with gestational diabetes. They want to make sure ltc isn't running out of room in there and that she continues to be active. It's only for the next 2 1/2 weeks.

Hi, omnis! It's good to see you!
