Calli, all my sympathies for your loss; your aunt sounded like a wonderful person.

That's great news about your insurance, askye! Less stress from worry can't hurt.

Ugh. I like my new job, but so much of it is herding cats that it can get a bit onerous. I spent my first 90 minutes today e-mailing for folks schedules before I could even send out meeting invites. And even that hasn't been done in every case, because people don't respond to the requests in a timely manner. Blah.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My aunt emailed me to ask me to friend my uncle on Facebook, because my mom told her about some photo that I'd posted there, and she wants to log on to my uncle's account to see it. I have no idea why she can't just get her own account. And I'm emailing her the photo, because I don't want to friend my uncle.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Hil, my sister does that sort of thing. She asks me to send her photos her daughters have posted on FB and what they're writing about.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm constantly having to send my mother pictures of people (mostly babies) because she won't get her own facebook account.

Long day. I had my OB appointment, and I have apparently reached the stage of pregnancy where I get to go twice a week for ultrasounds. So, they fit me in for an ultrasound today and then was able to get lunch. Lastly, I was finally able to go get my compression socks in the right size. Please let me never have to go back and deal with that man ever again.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Twice weekly ultrasounds? Sounds unfun, sj.

Pokes head in thread...

Um. Hi. Been dark a bit. Just been active in games. Thought I'd drop in and say hi. It's summer, so schedule is a lot slower. Hopefully have time to keep up with the thread for awhile.

Yes. I guess it's standard procedure in high risk, especially with gestational diabetes. They want to make sure ltc isn't running out of room in there and that she continues to be active. It's only for the next 2 1/2 weeks.

Hi, omnis! It's good to see you!

Hi, omnis! How are things? (Other than seasonally slow.)
Pretty good. As of this morning, have lost 12 pounds since Jan 4th. I'm at a platuea around that -10lb mark. Doing a bit more cooking, when I have the energy. Tried the Blue Apron service (thanks Pix!). It was fun. But a TON of work. Too much. Did it on my staycation week. Will not have enough spoons to do it while at work. So have cancelled it.

Oh. and new reading glasses. Prescription rather than the 'cheaters' from the drug store. So now I have one set for walking around/driving. One set for sitting/reading. And yes, thought about bifocals/progressives. But the readers give blurry at bottom of vision, and that's where I can see nuances in the floor that trip me up. So for now, I'm avoiding them, in an effort to stay upright when walking.

It's TCG's meeting night and also my usual night at the library bookstore. So, I stopped by to say hello to the woman filling in for me. I didn't really find anything worth buying.
