Nora, that sucks. I just got rid of my second uti during this pregnancy. They're so miserable.
I'm so sorry, Calli.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Nora, I hope you conquer the UTI soon.
I'm sorry Cali
I'm so sorry Calli. I'm glad you had her for an aunt.
Calli, I'm sorry she is gone. Peace to her memory.
Thanks, y'all.
I'm sorry, Nora.
All condolences, Calli.
Calli I'm so sorry about your aunt.
Nora -if you don't know about D-Mannose supplements you might want to try them. It's the sugar in the cranberries that attract the bacteria. It doesn't cure the UTI but it can help shorten the duration and the bacteria will go and cling to the sugar and get flushed out of your system.
Most health food stores have it.
For the discomfort it helps to stay away from acidic foods (citrus, cranberry), alcohol (which I realize doesn't work with your job), and spicy food.
The other thing I do for comfort is (white fonted) when I have a UTI (or IC flare up that causes pain) instead of toilet paper I use a Perineal Wash Bottle - like this [link] with plain warm water like a bidet. I find the warm water is soothing and it helps keep things cleaner. You can also try hot or cold packs that can help.
