You're not gonna jokey-rhyme your way out of this one.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

a particular community and this is a way of honoring your roots, but outside of that shit, really problematic.

This is why I don't usually comment on the white trash parties--I hear that answer from people (for some it's true, but not usually for everyone). But ugh, the cholo thing is clearly not any of theirs.

Yay, for spoiling the birthday boy! Tell him TCG and I say, Happy Birthday!

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Today I'm slowly doing chores with a heavy dash of watching TV. Second load of laundry is in the dryer. First has actually been hung or folded, and put away! Cooked some kielbasa on the grill for a late lunch. (I'm using that thing a lot more than I thought I would! Love it!). Getting ready to pull out the Total Gym again. I stored it away for the party, and haven't had time/energy to set it back up. And I hope to install the new toilet seat. And a Yankee game should start in 20 minutes. Then, I really need to go through the pile of mail and pay bills.

Yeah, I know. What a party animal.

I have spent 12 hours wrangling a cranky toddler, and am now about to eat some leftovers and watch Ferris Bueller's Day Off, which I have never actually seen all the way through. There are many other things that should get done tonight, but holy shit, I need a break.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I have never actually seen all the way through

WHAT???

???

Whoa. You are in for a treat. I love that movie even though (especially because?) Bueller is a giant asshole.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

You need to watch to the end of the credits, too.

Kate, how is it you already have a toddler?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I made lunch for the next week, did some grocery shopping and laundry, and took my cat sitters out for dinner. There are three people in my apartment complex (including amyth), who step in and take car of my cat when I have to go out of town. It's great to know he's all comfy at home, with people I know and trust looking in on him.

Calli, it is wonderful you have people you can rely on like that.

I am home. G was a complete angel tonight, went to bed when I told him to and didn't complain. That kid keeps me on my toes. I'm never sure what version of him I'm going to get.
