What to do if there's a tornado: put as much building as you can between it and you.
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Man...I find conservatism annoying, but I think it's my own side that's gonna make me drink from the cat dish.
My mother just sent me a really long text message because she is worried that I won't know what to do if there's a tornado.
Is she monitoring the weather here? (There was a tornado warning in southern Clermont County just a little bit ago. Hamilton County was clear, though.)

I don't think so. I don't think she'd know how to do that. She just knows that Ohio is in the midwest, and the midwest has tornados.
Can you send her a link to info about what to do in a tornado and let her know you read that?
So I have a/c in the computer room. I broke down and got one because a 5000 BTU a/c is not big enough to cool the entire mobile home, even though it was doing a darn good job. But it was hot and humid and my feet and ankles were swelling. I hope it stays in the window, it took some doing (and Will's help). I enlisted him because he texted me and asked if I had bought a second a/c.
It's supposed to cool down a bit but then it's going to get hot again and I might as well deal with being comfortable instead of miserable with swollen feet.
This one has a timer and a remote control. It's seems all fancy.
The guy setting up the electricity in my new apartment is supposed to come sometime between 8 and 12 tomorrow morning. I just remembered that I've got a beach chair in the trunk of my car, so I guess I'll set that up on the front porch and wait for him there, since it'll probably be a little cooler than waiting inside.
I bought a lawnmower! I'm going to mow as much of the lawn as I can in 30-45 minutes in about an hour and a half (I try to do outside stuff right around sunset because the Flaming Orb is even more evil this close to the equator).
Hil, you can tell her you're already making a list for your tornado kit. That will give her something to perseverate on.
Okay, so I was out power walking tonight, and my right leg started to tingle, like it was falling asleep, but I was upright and moving. I kept walking for another 10 minutes or so, then my right arm started to tingle as well. I slowed down, headed home, tingling subsided, but has kept up off and on for the last three hours or so. I've alway s had arms and legs that fell asleep easily (i.e. when I cross my legs or curl an arm under me when I sleep), but I'm wondering if this is something that I should be worried about (as in, should I go to Urgent Care tonight, sleep sitting up in case there's a blood clot, etc.). Thoughts, hivemind?
Debet, I am not sure when we will get to visit our relatives in Hawaii next, but when we do I'll let you know. They have a house in Puna. I remember Waimea very distinctly.
Vortex, do you have insurance with a nurse advice line?
