Actually, I think just about all insurance has a nurse advice line. So I guess the question is are you insured.

Vortex, it sounds more like a nerve issue than a blood clot. I wouldn't worry too much, unless you have other symptoms of a stroke or TIA.

So, the nurse advice line advised me to call 911. I felt really stupid, but I did it (and then ran around frantically cleaning my place). EMTs came, took BP (little high but not unexpected given the fact I'd been told to call 911). Refused transport to hospital, will go to the doctor in the morning.
