Debet I am so excited that you're in Waimea and will definitely see you again within a year!!
Hil, congrats on the (almost) move! You've done so much in a very short amount of time. I am very glad you're moving to a city with Buffistas.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hubby lived in Waimea in the 70s! He adored it there, he went surfing and swimming all the time, always showed off the scar he got from being bodychecked by a shark when he was being a typical young man playing in the surf in Hawaii.
Well, I'd thought I'd order from Grub Hub tonight, because my legs are still achy, and there was only one place listed that's open on Sundays, so I ordered some sushi. Then they called me -- they recently changed their delivery area, and they don't deliver here anymore. So, new dinner plan.
Yay, Nanita visit! Let me know when.
Connie, he was likely in the other Waimea, if he was on the water. Waimea on the big island is pretty far inland.
Hil, I ended up with PB and chips for similar reasons. Once the dryer is done, I will head down to Costco, though.
I found a pizza place. No delivery, but the restaurant seems nice, if a bit over air conditioned.
Yay new place, Debet!
The rummage sale yesterday went well. For me, at least, I don't know about the other vendors. But I made a good profit, and have treated myself to a new skirt and ascot from Kambriel. Now I'm dithering over the skull capelet that Epic linked to. I'm trying to decide what yards and yards of lace trim I'd want to add to the hem & collar, because dark gold foil embossed skulls on black velvet just aren't fancy enough for my tastes.
(I bought a lamé blouse at the sale yesterday. I am going to wear it with layers of ruffled skirts, a black velvet skirted waistcoat, and the new black lace ascot from Kambriel. I will continue dressing like the lovechild of Lestat and Stevie Nicks, and no one can stop me.)
(Except for the weather. I am currently flopped on the couch, in the path of the fan, and wearing only my underwear. I hates the burning orb and its weather.)
My mother just sent me a really long text message because she is worried that I won't know what to do if there's a tornado.
Well, you're in the wilds of the Great Northwestern Frontier. Dangerous lands.
What to do if there's a tornado: put as much building as you can between it and you.
Man...I find conservatism annoying, but I think it's my own side that's gonna make me drink from the cat dish.
