Oh, dear, Pix
I'm finally catching up after a month in the land of slow and capped internet, and then a week with my family helping me move/being on vacation (this is a not terribly useful combination). Much -ma to everyone who needs it.
I have moved into an adorable little 1-bedroom cottage, where mowing the lawn will be a major source of exercise (I need to get a non-powered mower this week). It's unfurnished, though. But I managed to get a bed and a sofa from the estate sale at the house my boyfriend is house-sitting for reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture.
Tomorrow will be the stock the kitchen Costco run. And I have an on-going quest to Buy All The Corelle (that I see at thrift shops). We found some glass corningware that is intended for use on stovetop, so that will be interesting to cook with.
School doesn't start for a week and a half, but I have various paperwork-type tasks to be done before that.
Have fun turning your cottage into your own little retreat, Debet.
Debet, that sounds so fun and lovely! Pictures? Also, where are you now?
Yeah, where is this Debet??
Once the place is not giant piles of clothes on the floor, I will take photos.
I'm on the northish end of Hawaii island. If anyone would like to visit, I have two air mattresses and a sofa (in addition to my bed).
Debet, congrats on the new place!
I'm bored. I suppose I should be doing more laundry. TCG is out hiking, which he hasn't been able to do much of this summer because we've been doing baby stuff, errands, and being social every weekend and probably won't get to hike much after ltc arrives. So, I'm glad he's out, but I'm still bored.
Yay for new place, Debet!
I got biscuits and gravy and scrambled tofu for lunch, then went over to flea's to borrow her air mattress, then came back to the hotel and slept most of the afternoon. Now trying to figure out dinner.
Debet I am so excited that you're in Waimea and will definitely see you again within a year!!
Hil, congrats on the (almost) move! You've done so much in a very short amount of time. I am very glad you're moving to a city with Buffistas.
Debet I am so excited that you're in Waimea
Hubby lived in Waimea in the 70s! He adored it there, he went surfing and swimming all the time, always showed off the scar he got from being bodychecked by a shark when he was being a typical young man playing in the surf in Hawaii.
Well, I'd thought I'd order from Grub Hub tonight, because my legs are still achy, and there was only one place listed that's open on Sundays, so I ordered some sushi. Then they called me -- they recently changed their delivery area, and they don't deliver here anymore. So, new dinner plan.
