Ben: I didn't ask for any of this. I just want to be normal. Gronx: I wanted to be an underwear model. We play the hand we're dealt.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Calli, that sounds good or maybe some blood orange sorbet.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

So, once my brother an I left home, my parents sort of adopted some stray people from church. One of whom is a sophomore in high school who is/was part of the after school program, and was mentored during confirmation by the guy my dad mentored. She's pretty much the only functional member of her family (they were without a fridge for about a month, and their power got turned off last winter, to give an idea).

A couple of months ago, she was all excited because her mom said they could get a puppy. Today, she texted Dad to say that they had to get rid of the puppy and would we take her.

So, now there is once again a third dog. Her name actually works in the naming system. All the critters have Tolkein names, and she was Belladonna. Rosie is excited because she has a puppy (even if the puppy isn't very much fun yet). She manifested a dog by force of will before (like, getting out of the shower one morning: unknown dog!), but we returned him to his people 20 miles away.

Hopefully, Bella will settle in before next Friday, as the rest of the family is coming to visit for a week when I move back to Hawaii (I don't know that doing this at the same time I'm re-arriving and figuring shit out is the best plan, but whatever).

The best bit is that we didn't tell my brother, so when he gets home after work (in a couple hours) he may or may not notice the second blond dog. If not, it will, presumably be tomorrow morning. Although, maybe we'll take bets.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Waiting with bated breath for Skippy's reaction to the new blonde dog!

Woe to the fucking wicked.

He got in and did not notice her last nights. He may not be up for another couple hours.

TCG bought me a wonderful bottle of gin for my birthday, which I will have to wait a while to imbibe, and a bunch of geeky items. We're going to the museum today and having lunch there. I'm a little whiny that I can't have cake for my birthday, but lunch should be nice.

Thrive to spite them

I forgot to call my pharmacy yesterday. They are closed on Fridays, I left a message but I don't know if it will be checked until Monday. I'll have to call back on Monday as soon as I can.

Also in awkward news (And I may delete this) I had a weird run in with Will on Second Life. I dont think he reads b.org anymore but I may delete this. Anyway you can have privacy settings so only your friends know you are online which is what I have set up. (I don't know if this matters) and I was hanging out in the main place I hang out - which I showed Will and he knows my avatar name.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Happy birthday, sj!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Happy Birthday, sj!

You share the date with H's and my anniversary. We're not doing too much of anything special. Too hot. We'll pick a day in October, maybe, to celebrate.
