Hey, Tep: I was looking through the archives from a decade ago, and found the following exchange between us
And I confess I don't understand how the whole girl-boy thing works, how two people can love each other AND *like* each other, which is a completely different kettle of fish. And I get that it's just as important, but....I guess I've never been friends with anyone I was in love with.
(my response)
I have faith that someday, you will be, and that no matter how far you've travelled to get there, you wouldn't change a step on the path, because hey: there you are. (Note to self: I'm either turning into Keanu or Oz.)
And you know what? I am so damn happy for you and that fellow you married. Like Leslie Knope and Ben Wyatt, you love him and you like him. And that's awesome.
OH! And apparently, you were never dating Bob Dole.
::sniffle::
That is awesome. Where does the time go?
About taco's. (My new job likes carrots.) The hospital cafeteria has Taco Salad Wednesday. The other admins in my department get together every week for it and hang out on the lower balcony of the WIMR towers that overlook the Healing Garden. And if you go up another half level (second floor level), there's a rooftop garden. Not sure about all the people yet, but I fucking love this new workplace.
So, when - Goddess forbid - you have a bad health day and are out of stuff you can get essentials delivered instead of having to drive while miserably sick or in pain cause you have no choice.
Also friends who are happy to run errands. I'm an excellent minion.

Awww, man. I still feel like he's a fluke, because I still don't get how it happened. I'm so poorly socialized and awkward, and my sexuality is so, so, SO grey-A, the fact that I'm married is amazing, let alone married to someone who is the goddamn best.
OH! And apparently, you were never dating Bob Dole.
To my unending relief, indeed, I was not.
Unofficially, congrats, Hil!
No freaky cult worshipping a dead football coach!
Well, you are moving to the part of the country where basketball is the reverential sport, not football. And death is not a prerequisite for worship.
One of the charming things about Cincinnati is the way in which America's first "western" city served as proof-of-concept for architectural and engineering innovations later done on larger scale in larger cities. If you squint your eyes at the Carew tower and the Roebling bridge you could almost be in a smaller, gentler Manhattan. And Union Terminal may not be the largest train station ever built, but it is perfect in its way.
Carew Tower is fabulous. And Union Terminal is, simply, the Hall of Justice.

Heh. What was the evil super-villain organization in Super Friends? Anyway, their headquarters are in Madison: [link]
