No freaky cult worshipping a dead football coach!
Well, you are moving to the part of the country where basketball is the reverential sport, not football. And death is not a prerequisite for worship.
One of the charming things about Cincinnati is the way in which America's first "western" city served as proof-of-concept for architectural and engineering innovations later done on larger scale in larger cities. If you squint your eyes at the Carew tower and the Roebling bridge you could almost be in a smaller, gentler Manhattan. And Union Terminal may not be the largest train station ever built, but it is perfect in its way.
Carew Tower is fabulous. And Union Terminal is, simply, the Hall of Justice.

Heh. What was the evil super-villain organization in Super Friends? Anyway, their headquarters are in Madison: [link]
You know, when I was in Madison I'd always point out the Legion of Doom building to friends when we drove by, but no one was impressed (or alarmed).
That's why Buffistas are my tribe.
Someone's tinkered with the colors, unless that is a very old picture and that was its original colors. It's much drabber now.
edited to remove that blasted apostrophe that likes to intrude where it's not wanted

Yeah, someone jacked up the color saturation--a popular thing amongst photographers therse days.
I am rolling my eyes so much at my mother. This happens every single time something good happens in my life. She's concerned that I'm not excited enough about my new job. She's giddy about it, and she doesn't understand why I'm not. She's known me for 34 years, and still hasn't figured out that I really don't do giddy. (Well, OK. If someone outside the family suggests that there's something wrong with me because I don't seem excited enough about something, then she'll say, "No, that's just how she is -- she's just like her father that way." But she never seems to remember that when she's the one getting concerned.)
