I'll agree with what others said, ND. We had eight years to mourn my dad before he died. They could not be described by any of us as positive, for him or for us. Peace and comfort, to all of you.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
What has been said, ND. Strength and comfort to you and yours in the time to come.
Yeah, my grandfather was gone for me several years before he died. It's really hard.
I feel like I've been mourning my mom for many years now.
I'm so sorry you're having to go through this, ND. You're anything but cold-hearted. Peace and strength to you and your family.
Iron~ma for sj!
Thanks, Laura! At least I have one more excuse to add to my list of why I'm exhausted, right?
ND, I'm so sorry about your mother, and I don't think it sounds cold in the least not to want to see her suffer.
Quite a significant reason to be exhausted! I hope the treatments help quickly, sj.
I'm sorry, ND. For what it's worth, I wish the end had come a bit more quickly for my mom, too. Once all the good-byes have been said and whatever peace might need to be made has been made, lingering in a bad place doesn't do anyone much good.
I am so sorry, ND. There are many here, myself included, who've been through it and are here for you.
sj, low iron is no joke. I would up in the hospital because of it. so good for you for getting treated.
ND, I know exactly how you feel. And I knew my mother felt the same way. Once she was immobilized by the strokes she couldn't wait to check out. Sad part, her mind stayed pretty sharp until the end. My dad was the opposite. As soon as she died he deteriorated mentally and his body finally gave up a year later.
