Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

brenda, how utterly shattering for the parents, and for your family, too. When it's said that life isn't fair, it shouldn't mean this kind of shit.

Good Morning, Buffistas. All three of us are now moved in and everyone slept in their own beds. So nice. Today is all about organizing the boxes that moved yesterday into their respective rooms and then getting them unpacked. My goal is to get the living room and kitchen finished.

Thrive to spite them

I went to work, people were happy to see me. I was on the verge of a mild anxiety attack all day. I survived. I took some klonopin when I get home. I have Wed and Thursday off. I'll talk to my therapist about this.

I accepted and tolerated and hopefully it will get easier.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Holy shit, brenda, that is just unimaginably awful. My heart goes out to your friends, and to you, too. The universe just should not work that way.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh brenda, that's awful, Such deep sympathy for those parents, and wishes for any peace and comfort for them.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

brenda, that's terrible. Those poor parents, how devastating.

askye, cheering you on from the peanut gallery over here!

Suzi, all moved in sounds real good. Now it's home!

It is officially summer here in Virginia, never mind that it's still May. It's over 80 degrees F every day and humid as all hell. I hate it. I'll be mostly staying inside during the day for the next few months. Having just come back from the PNW makes it worse, because I know how good the weather is somewhere else!

I will never understand how, as *wet* as the weather is here in PNW, there's no killing humidity. Despite missing friends, family, and my homeplace, there's no way I could survive a southeastern summer now. I may moss over, but underneath, I'll still be breathing!

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Oh brenda, that's horrible. Much peace and strength to them. I can't even imagine.

How awful, Brenda.
