A question for women who have taken Diflucon. How long does it generally take to feel a difference?
I'm flying blind after going to the urgent care this morning.
They took a swab for the other kind of infection, which I will not get the results for until Wednesday. In the meanwhile, I'm praying that this little pill will just fix me!
$16.18 for a single pill.
I know that isn't even close to what some meds cost but it just seems crazy to me that ONE pill costs that much!
In totally other news, my very favorite book of all time is back in print and the bff (who has been scouring the internet for a copy at a cost of less than $250...not a typo) sent me a spanking new paperback. All the stuff I need to do be damned, I'm curling up with Sinbad and Me this weekend.
I'm only 20 pages in and am having the loveliest experience. I remember SO much of the actual text as if I'd read it recently...rather than 45 years ago. At the same time, it is so sophisticated that I'm boggled that I loved it that much as a kid and am enjoying it even more as an adult.
Architecture, cyphers, numismatics and an English Bulldog who helps solve a crime just by being an awesome dog. No super powers required.
I thought the whole raison d'etre for Diflucan is you only take the one pill instead of taking pills for 7 days. But it probably works in about the same amount of time that other pills work, so 24 hours or so.

I adore that book! It got me into architecture!
And I've had a copy for yoinks.
Blah. It's hot in here, so I opened some windows, but then the evil pollen started attacking my sinuses, so I had to close them. And I'm stressed.

Yay, Connie! I highly recommend a reread.
I really am shocked by how much I remember as I'm reading. I know I read it more than once, but it just went right into my heart, apparently.
Now I'm kind of shocked that I've never been drawn to having an English Bulldog.
Ergh. I hope I have not totally undermined myself.
I had pretty bad heartburn after taking the Diflucan and gave into a huge sugar/carb craving without even thinking that the sugar might counteract the drug.
I'm MUCH better today, but still have some symptoms, dammit.
The sugar shouldn't counteract the Diflucan. Lots of women who take it eat stuff with lots of sugar (::cough::me::cough::), but it still works.
Bless you, Steph.
I've said it before, but it can't be said enough...it is such a comfort to have your wit, wisdom and extensive knowledge in my life!
I need to go out and pick up the piles of leaves that have been sitting around and the sticks so I can mow, because it's mowing season finally.
Also Mom is going to be here Tuesday evening. I cleaned the bathroom. I need to do dishes and pick up stuff and vacuum. My place never got Hoarders bad, but it did get pretty bad. I got to the stock pile of dirty dishes but I made a new pile and the sink needs to be cleaned. She's not expecting clean but it would be nice if it weren't gross.
I discovered ants in the bathroom. They seem localized to the tub and sink so I think they are looking for water (the state is on a burn ban until the 19th because it's so dry). I've killed a few and now I have to figure out how to get rid of them without potentially poisoning anyone or the cat.
I go back to work next Monday. Which is freaking me out a bit.
And I've been playing around with a self paced class on HTML/CSS. It's got other languages but I started with that one. I tried a class through edX on Java but the instructor bothered me. I found one without an instructor and it's been good, not indepth and I'm probably racing through it too fast.
