Spike: Ladies. Come on in. Plenty of blood in the fridge, don't be shy. Dawn: You mean like, real blood? Spike: What do you think? Dawn: Mostly I think, 'Eew!'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Growing a new human is hard work. Of course you need a safe place to vent. We at least are not going to give you "well, you asked for this" grief. Wasn't it Zenkitty (or am I mis-remembering?) who said "you want a baby, no one wants morning sickness".

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

"well, you asked for this" grief

Yeah, I already have plenty of that.

Growing a new human is hard work.

It is, and I'm not sleeping much, which adds to the whiny.

I always wanted to be an only child.

I'm not sleeping much, which adds to the whiny.

Sleep deprivation is bad enough, especially without your body revved up to maximum on hard work.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Catching up with the asthma conversation -- on Friday, I was diagnosed with severe asthma variant (lots of coughing, not so much with the trouble breathing). The doctor put me on Symbicort, plus an albuterol-based emergency inhaler.

Problem is, the coughing has gotten worse, including one time where I actually did have trouble breathing. Hubs thinks it's just my lungs clearing out, and I shouldn't worry. But I do -- any thoughts?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

huh ... I always thought the sleep deprivation came after the baby was born ....

You would think, but my back is aching, my acid reflux is terrible, and the baby is resting on my bladder. So, restful sleep has been hard to come by.

Fred, is it a productive cough? If it is, than Hubs is probably right, but if it is worrying you, you should definitely call your doctor.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

On the plus side, I have found a fairly easy lunch that takes very little effort on my part. I found black bean burgers and chickpea burgers that both have the right amount of carbs for lunch when eaten on an English muffin with some cheese for extra protein.

Are they Morningstar Farms? Tim loves the black bean burgers, and he has discovered the chickpea burgers are good with TJs goddess dressing.

Yes, those are the ones. I'm for anything that only takes 2 minutes in the microwave during the day. The black bean ones are good with a little of the TJ's salsa on top with cheese.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Fred Pete, as an asthma sufferer taking the same meds as you are now, I think call your doctor and let them know what's going on. Sometimes the inhalers themselves make me cough, but trouble breathing is never something you should shrug off, especially if it hasn't happened before.
