She growls?! You made her so she growls?!

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

It looks like Fareed's show is available on iTunes for a fee but not the MHP show.

Many thanks for all the birthday wishes on FB!

I posted a partial list of the 5s we did to celebrate my big 5-5.

They included 5 episodes of Buffy...the 5th Element...5 museum exhibits...walking more than 5 miles (nearly 8.5 for me, more than 22k steps)...etc.

Tomorrow is the first day of the last of my life, so I'm going to join, in earnest, the Buffistas kicking health's ass FB effort.

It's time.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Argh. Didn't realize that 6PM.com had a 30 day return policy and now I'm stuck with a too small pair of shoes. Grrr.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Dag, I know it's hard to cut the cable cord, but we did it and I surely don't miss it.

Admittedly, we've got Neflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime AND I steal shows off the interpipes (like Game of Thrones and Mad Men).

The only thing I really miss are baseball games and baseball highlights. But if I was *really* willing to pay for that a la carte, I could get it. And I can get most highlights online.

It really changes your viewing habits when you drop cable. You wind up doing (as we do) hooking into a show you wanted to watch (like Parks and Rec) and watching the whole run of it. Which is great! Matilda just watched all of Community and Parks and Rec this year (dragging us along). Now she's on Emmett's old fav iCarly.

The thing is - there are SO many good shows out there, and miniseries too that it's almost impossible to watch everything that's on. It's so much easier and (I think) better to just go watch House of Cards, or Daredevil or Hannibal or Agent Carter in a bunch.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

My fear is that I have no self control when it come to marathoning.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Happy birthday, bonny! You deserve a multi-day festival in honor of your birthday, so I won't apologize too hard for lateness.

One doesn't feel so greedy when you can watch an episode or two every night and it's just there. It's way more manageable, I think.

Late Andi?

Right on time!

Pertinent to the marthoning...I am trapped in Buffy streaming. I meant to do 5 episodes. I think I'm up to 8.

Must. Go. To. Bed.

But, BUFFY!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I will say that Netflix has come in very handy for things like Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, and at the moment, Daredevil. But there were network series that H was resistant to in first run, like Numb3rs, "tying in the math to every case is stupid" or Leverage, "I hate thieves, and plots about scams." I've been able to get him to watch "a couple of episodes" because of the character interaction. "We can always quit if doesn't float your boat." Because it's right there, and he doesn't have to wait till next week for the next episode, he's loving both shows. It's really difficult to get him to watch anything first run, now.

We got through Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse, and Supernatural on DVD, and now we're marathoning series he missed back in his overworked and "I hate tv" days.
