Hil, I'm glad you got some rest and feel a bit better.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Hil, I'm glad the cough is finally letting up.
We'll send in our retrieval specialist to get you out of that board meeting. I can haz retrieval specialist to get me out of staff meetings 2 & 3, later this week?
I'll send the retrieval specialist right back to you.
So, about the meeting. My mom had given me an Ativan 0.5 mg tablet a while ago, because she takes it for atypical migraines (she gets NO horrible pain, but vertigo for DAYS, and the Ativan really helps). Apparently I had had a migraine with vertigo and so she gave me an Ativan in case it happened in the future? I don't know, but I put it in the pill bottle in my purse and forgot about it until today.
I took the Ativan around 5 or so, and around 7 or 8 (during the board meeting), I actually thought, "Is this what it feels like to be tripping?" Tim said later that he looked over during a particularly annoying as hell moment and was slightly afraid to look at my face because he thought I would be trying to make people's heads explode (like Scanners), but apparently I had this totally beatific look on my face.
That's good shit.
Is this the board you were going to quite because they're nutcases?
Yes, and I did in fact resign, but said I was available to help with stuffing envelopes and such, which they immediately jumped on as "You want to be the new Board Treasurer?!?" Because they are crazy.
Thank god for the Ativan.
Ativan is such a lovely drug (for me, and, apparently, La Tep). Tep, I'm sorry for all the stress.
hugs & ~ma to them that wants 'em.
I am TIRED. The return to bartending is going well, but the restaurant is right across from AT&T Park, and the home opening series started yesterday, and so many people wanting so many drinks. So many.
I am awake at 5 am but I've been awake since 3. Yesterday I woke up at 4. This is not a good trend.
Good news I see the meds person and I can say "Remember when I told you get I resistant to dosages of sleep meds? Yeah, I think that's happening, what can we do?" Bad news is that I'll see her during skills group where we will learn about acting opposite of sadness which I really want to learn. Hopefully it will be a short visit with the meds person or maybe I can ask for a "tutoring" session on the acting oppsite of sadness.
Had cool news - I've been in Second Life and taking pictures again and really happy, also playing around on picmonkey.com beacuse that's easier for me to deal with than GIMP or photoshop and I submitted a bunch of pictures to a group and one got picked for the flickr group cover.
This is the group [link]
This is is my photo stream [link]
Actually most of the shots are just raw shots from Second Life of the landscape ones there's only 2 I retouched in anyway.
Very cool pics, askye! I hope you do get the conversations you need with the meds person.
My doctor appointment is at 11:30 today, and I'm actually nervous about it. This is ridiculous.
Hec! Do you happen to have any family in St. Petersburg, FL? I'm here for a library conference and one of the local librarians shares your last name. Which I realize is not a lot to go on, but I know you have (or used to have?) Florida connections, so I figured I'd ask.
