There were fireworks in the park last night, probably for the dogwood festival. I watched them from my driveway for a while, then I watched them from my patio window. It's nice to be able to see the fireworks without having to go to the park or somewhere else crowded.

In other news, I may have a job. They're going to do a background check and, depending on how long that takes, I might be able to start work in a week or two. The pay's a big step down from my previous position, but it's a big step up from what I'm making now (diddly, with occasional squat). It'll be building Coursera courses for a nearby university. I interviewed for it last week, and I got to meet many of the people with whom I'll be working. They seem pretty nice and laid back.
