[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

I just don't like upsetting people, and I could still end up with Doctor #1 on delivery day. I actually think Doctor #1 is an excellent doctor, but I find Doctor #2 to be more personable and approachable. Is that a good enough reason to switch doctors?

I work with hundreds of doctors and see patient switches in multi-doctor practices all the time. They even have a standard form for it in the multi-doctor practices. It is standard and they don't take it personally at all.

With obstetrics they usually make you see all of them since any of them might be on duty when you deliver, but if you are having a scheduled delivery you should be able to have your preferred doctor.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Is that a good enough reason to switch doctors?

Sounds like Doc #2's communication style is a better match with yours. This is a full and sufficient reason to switch. And it casts no aspersions on Doc #1's abilities or virtues.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks, I will talk to her about it as soon as I can.

I was going to marathon iZombie tonight, but TCG's meeting was cancelled.

Thank you Ginger and sj!

I will post an appreciation in Beep Me but, in the meanwhile, I am so, so grateful to the folks who voted and offered good thoughts.

It has been a banner day.

Not only did I win for best life coach in the Washington City Paper 'Best Of' poll but a major, MAJOR opportunity popped up on my horizon.

This opportunity would mean that I could make real, tangible change across the entire globe. That would be hyperbole if it didn't come from the very top of a government agency that I would be honored to help.

I'm a little flaily. At the same time, I'm 100% certain I can give them what they need. Not a packaged 'flavor of the month' tool that will waste their time and money...but the deep listening and options for change that will move them past some serious problems.

With apologies to the Beatles...Baby, I am amazed.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I've got my interview in 20 minutes. Sucking on a cough drop now -- they don't help a lot, but any little bit of anti-coughing is something.

I might try to go to this year's Blessing of the Fleets. If I can get my ass moving ....

sj, WS said what I would have, with one small addition...being polite is a premium in our culture, and frankly one that is sadly diminishing in prevalence and preference.

At the same time, when your well-being is in question, decorum cannot be more important. You can't control anyone's feelings.

Plus, what Laura said. Most practices are prepared for changes. I think they'd rather you be a happy customer, whatever that takes.

Lots of ~ma!

That sounds amazing, bonny! They will be lucky to have your talents. Are things any better on the landlord/housing front?
