Mal: Go on. Get in there. Give your brother a thrashing for messing up your plan. River: He takes so much looking after.

'Objects In Space'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

What Trudy said.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Question about college entrance type stuff. Son will probably go to school in the fall. He took the SAT in 7th grade, then again in 2009. He never took the ACT. Should he take both of those this summer. Is June too late?

I'll note that Emmett scored MUCH higher on the ACT than the SAT, and that did wind up getting him better financial aid, so there are some benefits to doing both.

Always Anti-fascist!

Me too, because they count more than just Verbal and (my nemesis) Math.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Ryan quote of the day. This morning, I'm eating breakfast, when Ryan comes up and taps me on the forehead with a pencil sharpener.

Me: "You just bopped me on the head with a pencil sharpener."
Ryan: [grinning] "Will there be retribution?"

For those keeping track, there was, indeed, retribution.

Our wings are not tired.

I hope you are keeping a log of these for him to enjoy in the future. No doubt older Ryan will be delighted by younger Ryan.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Well, his future romantic partner(s) will. These are better than naked baby bum pics.

brillig

"Will there be retribution?" accompanied by a grin could become a code phrase.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Ugggggh. A former co-worker messaged me on FB to ask my opinion about a photo exhibit of his that was removed, because he trusts my judgement. He's not going to like my answer, because I agreed with the complaints. Taking surreptitious infra-red photos of women "in their natural environment - the shopping mall", then running the images through arty filters = YES, THAT'S MISOGYNISTIC. And creepy, and voyeuristic, and othering, and a whole bunch of other problematic things.

I repeat, ugggggh.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Oh, yuck. Please do school this guy, though.
