What is target? Also don't know if your pregnancy will let you do this but a ten minute stroll immediately after eating does wonders for blood sugar - more than intense exercise, more than moderate exercise. It can be a strolll circling the living room while reading on your tablet or watching the tube.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My fasting target is 60-95, which I have yet to meet.

My two hour after meal target is 60-120, and I have met that target every day except this morning. I was fairly lazy on the couch yesterday. So, maybe that has something to do with it.

I have never heard of a blood sugar target below 70. 60 is low blood sugar. Not dangerously low, but not good and definitely cranky territory. Maybe GD is different but was that target given by someone who is a diabetes specialist? 120 is an ok top figure - I mean really it is good if you can manage. when you say post breakfast you mean two hours after breakfast? cause sooner you can't expect to be under 120.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Maybe GD is different but was that target given by someone who is a diabetes specialist?

Or by the nurse who flipped out over 1 gram of carbs? Because this nurse is quickly losing credibility with me.

Also when I say 60 is not dangerous, I realized that is to adults. I have no idea what risk a mother being at 60 poses to an unborn.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Man, Laura, I wish you all kinds of zen.

sj, I have no advice or counsel but I'm glad others do and I hope you get into a rhythm soon.

I also should add that 60 is not dangerouis if it happens rarely or for short periods. Often or over the long run might be a different story.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I don't know anything about diabetes, but I hope you're able to figure out what will work for you, sj.

Laura, good luck and patience with all of that.

I've been coughing for a month and a half now. The latest round of meds that the doctor gave me seemed to be working for a while, but I'm coughing even worse today.

sj, SO happy to know all is well with you and babes (just read speedily through the hospital visit and my heart could scarcely take it). GD sucks! I failed the 1 hr glucose test with both pregnancies and somehow passed the 3 hour test both times. I hope you are able to manage it without too much annoyance and your family best be standing there with all of your fave eats post-birth!

Lots of x&o and ~ma to all of y'all!

Yes, it is printed on the food diary that the dietician gave me; I haven't met with the diabetic counselor yet because apparently there is only one and her father died. Yes, two hours post meal is when I test.

The 60-95 is supposed to be my blood sugar only first thing in the morning after I have fasted for 10 hours. I've never been below 99 for my morning fasting number.

Or by the nurse who flipped out over 1 gram of carbs? Because this nurse is quickly losing credibility with me.

No, this was on the form given to me by the dietician.
