Todd, all the luck in the world to you too.
I won't let it bother me, but this is the first time I've ever been treated terribly by an employer. I just don't understand why they treat their employees this way. It's such an old-school mentality that's counterproductive.
But realize, you have 14 more days to put up with my shit about this. There will be moments when I just cannot deal.
Bitches ain't shit but people who put up with your shit.
P-C, you are fantastic. Love it, and it's damned true.
Maria, that interview sounds like a very good sign to me. Continued ~ma to you.
I'm still feeling like crap today, but my new computer is ready, so I'm going to try and look on the bright side.
I have an interview with the GM tomorrow at 11:30.
I have an idea of what to wear so I'm no stressing about that. However now my car a/c isn't getting that cold and now I have some thing new to freak out about. It's over due for an oil change so I have that scheduled Monday at 9.
Hey, David or JZ, I keep meaning to ask this. I have a few Powerpuff Girls things that I was wondering if Matilda might like. Specifically, a lunch box, a stamp set, and some other miscellaneous knickknacks. (I am keeping the plush MojoJojo for myself.)
Askye, that is great news (Interview, not the car troubles). You will be great. Maybe wear a blue shirt and khakis? Then they can see you in the job already? (Probably best to NOT take my advice when it comes to fashion).
Some of them I've known for 12 years. Not sure if that's good or bad.
That is a VERY good sign. And hopefully, one of the meetings during that long day will be with one/some of them. That will be your "rest" period. For mine, it was lunch with the professors that I had known for awhile. It gave some really good Q&A on unofficial things. Don't be shy in asking things. If you are moving across the country for this job, you want to know as much as you can, warts and all. As for the compensation thing. I feel your pain. My old job in SoCal paid CRAP. I kid you not, when I say current job and old job had the numbers to the left of the comma reversed. And I did it for 11 years. I was CRAZY. As the other said. Now that the blinders are off, clear the mind, and go into the interview with your head held high. I'm sure you deserve every cent they are offering. And, if for some reason, the new job doesn't work out, see about using their package to leverage a raise at current job??
For someone like myself who isn't an extrovert but can present as one, I need about 2 weeks in a dark room to recover afterward.
LeN and I are similar on this one. Hermit time is recharge time for me. Thank you Netflix, Xbox, and books!
I was actually thinking of khakis and I have a khaki jacket, but they are a couple of shades off so I wasn't sure if that would work.
I was going to go with khaki (or black pants), a water color-ish cami, and a blue shortsleeve sweater shrug (the blue is very Best Buy blue). Or black pants with a gray button down shirt.
Yesterday I wore black pants, a multi colored abstract shell, and a black sweater shrug.

Oh, she'd love it! Thanks for thinking of her.
