Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Seriously, this is so weird, and I can't find any clinical data on it, only anecdotal reports -- for at least the past 3 years, my IBS flares up horribly in March/April. There's some seasonal component to it -- maybe a histamine thing, because of all the stuff that starts blooming?

Steph, have you tried one of the histamine-blocker antacids? Like Tagamet? It might be worth a try. It isn't SUPPOSED to work that way, but IBS isn't supposed to have anything to do with seasonal allergies either.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

This week:

$150 and 3 minutes to find out there is nothing wrong with my garbage disposal (except the lid from one of those single serve peanut butter things jamming it up)

$130 and 10 minutes to find out there is nothing wrong with the dog's eyeball. (Which sounds like an idiom or euphemism of some sort, but is not.)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Once it got to 140, I bought my own wrist monitor and she was happy with that,

I bought a wrist monitor and he said it wasn't good enough -- he tested its results against his results in the office (after he fumbled with the BP machine like he hadn't done that in ages) and my wrist monitor showed 5 points lower than his reading. I thought that was minor and, like, I can add?, but he thought I should throw it out. I figure, it might be consistently 5 points down, but itf it were simply inaccurate, the readings would be all over the place, and they aren't, they're within a normal range of variation throughout the day. So I'm sticking with the wrist monitor.

Basically, I'm ignoring this doctor anyway, so I might as well find another one!

I got one of those drain blocker things that has holes in it, hair catchers?, because of my tendency to toss things in the sink that should not go down the garbage disposal.

Glad your dog's okay, though!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Heh. My BP is higher than normal. Definite white-coat hypertension. They'll take it again before I leave.

Quickest Drs appointment ever. My neuro wants me to have a c section to avoid further damage to my spine. Fine with me. I just needed someone in authority to say that so insurance will cover it.

Herding cats for fun

Oh my, that was a rant. Feeling rather better after having a crash and burn (remember the Pat Travers song?). Breathing dust always gets me. So does the pinched finger. Only one more week to go.

Always glad to hear things went well at the Doctor, meaning getting what I want instead of another useless lecture about something that is beside the point of my visit.

Rant away, K. Bee. That's a rotten situation, and the landlord seems to be making it worse. I'd be devastated if I were forced to move out of a place I'd been living in for 20 years.

Thrive to spite them

Boo to arrogant doctors. Boo.

So my appointments went okay. I'm staying with klonopin during day and ambient at night. At least for another two weeks. There are kind of 2 choices for outpatient care but one is out of network. So really one. My therapist had been in contact with both and I called today but by the time I got home the person was out of the office so I left a message.

Yesterday when I went out for cat food full on anxiety attack. Today wasn't so bad bit I need to return library books but I'm used up maybe tomorrow.

Tried calling Mom to update her but she was wrangling my nephew and she'll call me back. Also checked my fuel oil level for heat and I'm nearly out. Will has canisters and knows where to go so I texted him. Just waiting to hear back.

No more onerous tasks for today.

Rant as much as you need to, KB. I certainly have.
