Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh Maria, of course it's a complicated jumble of emotions. How could it be anything else? Sending lots of love and support, and I promise we'll split a nice bottle of red the next time I see you.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

sj, I'm sorry. I hope they can get it under control while allowing you to actually eat at the same time.

Thanks. I'm going for a fasting blood work this weekend, and then probably the long ass test someday next week (not that I have a four hour block available any day next week). I just haven't been able to keep down proteins or vegetables unless they're surrounded by carby goodness and cheese. I know this isn't the healthiest way too eat, but I figured it was better than starving.

{{{{{Maria}}}}} What Burrell said. It would be surprising if you didn't feel all those things right now.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

there's not a small bit of feeling like I failed because I didn't pay my debts as agreed

What you agreed was that you would pay it back or they would get the property. Which is what's happening. You haven't done anything wrong.

What she said!

Sorry about the gestational diabetes, sj. I had it with both pregnancies but survived. The good thing is that it goes away! The annoying part for me was the weekly blood check. I have never had a sweet tooth, except when I was pregnant, so it was a shock to suddenly want sweets so much. I hope it is controlled with little effort for you.

Strix & Suzi, much house~ma being sent.

Thanks, Laura. I haven't officially been diagnosed yet, and I know a lot of people had false positives on the first test, so I'm hoping that it only came out bad because the only thing I had time to eat that morning was a container of honey nut cheerios that I picked up at Walgreens on my way to the appointment.

sounds plausible, sj. I remember hating the GD test. I didn't have too much trouble with nausea but that drink made me lose it every time.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Many of us are celebrating, or will when the stress passes, a new day. So NoRouz Mobarak! to all, and especially Suzi.

It is disgusting. At first it just seems like it is going to taste like gatorade, but then it burns.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Happy NoRouz Mobarak, Suzi! I love the way we have such a diverse group of people on this board that it means we get to celebrate a ton more holidays than most.
