{{{{{Maria}}}}} What Burrell said. It would be surprising if you didn't feel all those things right now.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
there's not a small bit of feeling like I failed because I didn't pay my debts as agreed
What you agreed was that you would pay it back or they would get the property. Which is what's happening. You haven't done anything wrong.
Ugh Maria, of course it's a complicated jumble of emotions. How could it be anything else? Sending lots of love and support, and I promise we'll split a nice bottle of red the next time I see you.
What she said!
Sorry about the gestational diabetes, sj. I had it with both pregnancies but survived. The good thing is that it goes away! The annoying part for me was the weekly blood check. I have never had a sweet tooth, except when I was pregnant, so it was a shock to suddenly want sweets so much. I hope it is controlled with little effort for you.
Strix & Suzi, much house~ma being sent.
Thanks, Laura. I haven't officially been diagnosed yet, and I know a lot of people had false positives on the first test, so I'm hoping that it only came out bad because the only thing I had time to eat that morning was a container of honey nut cheerios that I picked up at Walgreens on my way to the appointment.
sounds plausible, sj. I remember hating the GD test. I didn't have too much trouble with nausea but that drink made me lose it every time.
Many of us are celebrating, or will when the stress passes, a new day. So NoRouz Mobarak! to all, and especially Suzi.

It is disgusting. At first it just seems like it is going to taste like gatorade, but then it burns.
Happy NoRouz Mobarak, Suzi! I love the way we have such a diverse group of people on this board that it means we get to celebrate a ton more holidays than most.
Always in favor of holidays! NoRouz Mobarak indeed!
Happy NoRouz Mobarak, Suzi!
Renewal is a good theme for me today! I signed up for the 1000 Mile Challenge, which is to walk/run 1000 miles between today, 3/20, and the first of winter, 12/21. As the sage said, the journey of a 1000 miles starts with one step. Or in my case, a quarter of a mile.
Paying off the mortgage made me feel like things are actually possible. That I can do stuff I used to not even try because it seemed impossible. Now I'm trying. Who knows what I might do? I might even start writing again.
