Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Cheese omelette and bacon, with a side of antihistamines. Yum!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

That does sound yummy! And hey, if it were sunny, you'd be resentful of being cooped up inside cleaning. Or maybe that's just me.

Once again I have overestimated what I can do in a given time. Banana bread is in the oven and I'm about to shower, and that's going to be all that gets done before the party. Ah well.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I've accomplished buying a plane ticket. There's a wildlife park in Sequim WA that's for retired animal actors, and you can drive amongst them and some of them you can feed (specially bought) bread and maybe they will lick you. I said to my friend K., I wanna go there, and this is what's great about her, with most people vague "I wannas" remain dreams, but K.? She says YEAH LET'S GO and let's do this other thing while we're at it! So now I'm going to Washington in May to meet my friend for her birthday and go tour two wildlife parks.

Our wings are not tired.

That sounds wonderful, Zenkitty.

I am very slowly organizing my house to accommodate the office. It is going to work just fine. DH is out of town for a couple days so it is just me and loudish music and organizing.

Breakfast was oatmeal with blueberries, pecans, and a big spoon of chocolate hazelnut stuff. Quite yum.

I also have to organize a diet plan with menus for a couple weeks to present to DH. He'll forgive me for sharing that he couldn't fit in the airplane seatbelt and was most unhappy about that. We are both bigger than ever 100% due to stress eating. This really has to stop. We don't want to buy new clothes. When we go on our anniversary trip Tuesday I think we shall frighten people at the hotel pool!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My breakfast was tea and a granola bar because I was anticipating wood fired pizza at the farmer's market. But it's raining so they didn't come. The taco truck came and I has a delicious black bean taco instead and a cinnamon bun.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

That's great, Zen! So fun to travel with close friends. (Go Team Minus T and Lee!)

Breakfast was oatmeal with blueberries, pecans, and a big spoon of chocolate hazelnut stuff. Quite yum.

Yum yum.

I made JZ hashbrowns with mushroom and roasted pepper and onions with two ita font sunnyside up.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Sister~ma, please! My sis is about to take a giant leap of faith.

She has been offered a seasonal job with the Grant Park Music Festival here in Chicago. It would mean quitting her FT job, closing up her apartment and moving in with me for the summer. And for just over 50% of what she is making now!

Crazy, yeah? But her job right now is utterly toxic and doesn't let her use her real skills. She needs to get out of her apartment, which she moved into as a couple but has been carrying as a single for the past year. And most importantly, I think, she needs to emotionally/mentally break from being tied to Milwaukee and our dad.

The new job would be much more fun and exciting, right in line with what she really wants to be doing career-wise, and they're really excited about having her, even though she's overqualified. And she has a good friend in a related role here in Chicago who says great things about the people she'd be working for. Who have committed to making every effort to help her build connections and find something more permanent. We've pretty exhaustively gone through every pro and con we can come up with, and bottom line, she's scared shitless but we both think it's a leap worth taking.

Crazytimes.

Our wings are not tired.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

That sounds like a great opportunity for your sister, brenda, and I'm glad to see you help her make that leap.
