Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I now want three more cups of tea, which I can't have. Boo.
sj I think a little coffee or tea is fine during pregnancy as long as your stomach tolerates it.
OK maybe not 3 cups more, but yeah, I hear ya!
My doctor said 1 8oz cup a day of either tea or coffee. What do pregnant women do for headaches? I know I can take tylenol, but I also know that will be useless.
Yay, Teppy! Let me know if you want to chat about it when you start reading it.
I want to chat about it too! I read it a while back and found it very different from the other "how to get your shit together" books I've read. I like her methods.
Definitely, Zen! Have you put any of her methods to use yet?
I've have a small nosebleed. I've never had one before. Is this a pregnancy thing?
I read her book - and found it ...interesting. I would have to take a week off to follow her methods and , there would still be Matt's stuff to deal with. But I could use her methods on my clothes.
I really like the idea of looking at something and deciding if it brings joy
but I am all about combining different methods to find what works fo me.
Have you put any of her methods to use yet?
I have! Not keeping anything that doesn't bring me joy has been a great help in winnowing down my closets and my DVD collection. I've also implemented her method of filing paperwork: throw it away. I've kept paperwork on taxes because the IRS is scary, and I'm getting a lockbox at the bank for Important Papers like my house deed and my passport, and everything else, I'm throwing away. It's liberating.
My doctor said 1 8oz cup a day of either tea or coffee. What do pregnant women do for headaches?
My doctors were tyrants that allowed no caffeine or alcohol or sugar or anything fun. I lived on allergy meds before pregnancy for my sinus issues and they were a zillion times worse when pregnant. Totally disallowed any antihistamines. I went to an acupuncturist and it was a miracle. I haven't had to take antihistamines since, and it has been 23 years.
Not sure on headaches, but I know you need a lot more fluid when preggers and could be a bit dehydrated.
