[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

sj I think a little coffee or tea is fine during pregnancy as long as your stomach tolerates it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My doctor said 1 8oz cup a day of either tea or coffee. What do pregnant women do for headaches? I know I can take tylenol, but I also know that will be useless.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yay, Teppy! Let me know if you want to chat about it when you start reading it.

I want to chat about it too! I read it a while back and found it very different from the other "how to get your shit together" books I've read. I like her methods.

Definitely, Zen! Have you put any of her methods to use yet?

I've have a small nosebleed. I've never had one before. Is this a pregnancy thing?

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I read her book - and found it ...interesting. I would have to take a week off to follow her methods and , there would still be Matt's stuff to deal with. But I could use her methods on my clothes.

I really like the idea of looking at something and deciding if it brings joy

but I am all about combining different methods to find what works fo me.

I have! Not keeping anything that doesn't bring me joy has been a great help in winnowing down my closets and my DVD collection. I've also implemented her method of filing paperwork: throw it away. I've kept paperwork on taxes because the IRS is scary, and I'm getting a lockbox at the bank for Important Papers like my house deed and my passport, and everything else, I'm throwing away. It's liberating.

Our wings are not tired.

My doctors were tyrants that allowed no caffeine or alcohol or sugar or anything fun. I lived on allergy meds before pregnancy for my sinus issues and they were a zillion times worse when pregnant. Totally disallowed any antihistamines. I went to an acupuncturist and it was a miracle. I haven't had to take antihistamines since, and it has been 23 years.

Not sure on headaches, but I know you need a lot more fluid when preggers and could be a bit dehydrated.

I rarely drank more than about half a cup of coffee before I forgot about it and let it go cold.

Er, beats me. I was only supposed to take tylenol and yeah it was pretty useless.

Thrive to spite them

So the ~ma worked. The insurance stuff was the insurance not paying their portion and I pay the regular doctor co pay not the specialist co pay so yay!

Saw Diane, the meds manager she's awesome. Her suggetion for me not sleeping was not "hey take Benadryl" it was "you're having problems with anxiety during the day and sleeping at night so let's switch you to taking klonopin during the day and ambien at night for the next 2 weeks and see how that goes".

I have bloodwork to do and she took my BP which was through the roof for me. Both she and kristen think I'd benefit from yoga so I'm going to do some one on one sessions of yoga. If I can swing the money but I know i'm holding a lot of stress and tension and a mssage just isn't a good option right now.
