I don't fancy spending the next month trying to get librarian out of the carpet.

Spike ,'Chosen'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Good lord, bonny. That is atrocious. Your landlord is a sorry excuse for a human being, much less a landlord. I assume you are documenting all damage with photos and such?

amyth, sorry to hear about the migraine. I hope it eases up soon.

So, when Finn tackles Spidey, Spidey just sort of disappears like someone being absorbed by The Blob.

Okay, that is hilarious to imagine. I'm so glad they are getting along well! Is Finn eating more?

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

bonny, call the DCRA and ask for an apartment inspection. That is the first step in allowing you to leave without penalty for breaking the lease. There is an implied warranty of habitability that doesn't seem to have been met for some time.

It may be time to find somewhere else to live. I don't see the landlord changing anytime soon.

Hugs to Nora and Sarah.

Happy birthday Laura!

Good news about the kitties.

Wonderful news about LTC, sj!

I was wondering who you call about this. The only thing I could think of was board of health, and that didn't seem right.

DC is really good with tenant rights. bonny is in one of the best jurisdictions in the world to get this taken care of with a minimum of hassle (relatively speaking, of course).

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Bonny, please listen to Maria. I'm worried about you.

I definitely have a head cold, and I'm going back to sleep.

Not to taunt, but it's beautiful here today.

sj, feel better! I'm glad you are resting.

Need to figure out what self-care looks like today and get on it before I run out of day. Still in pjs. I need to fix food for lunch tomorrow, maybe go to the Apple Store, tidy my room, maybe sort some Mardi Gras beads, refill a script and make a yoga class if at all possible. And chuck this pack of cigarettes I bought yesterday.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Is Finn eating more?

Yes, he is. He's eating enthusiastically but not desperately, which leads me to believe that some of his earlier glee at being fed (I have met beagles with more restraint around food) may have been in part due to boredom.

smonster, my cousin got back to me and the only study she found was the first link I posted for you. But she says that she sees things about fecal transplants come across her Twitter feed all the time, so she'll keep an eye out for anything related to mental health.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

This. And I would think chances are good that your landlord could be liable for hotel costs until you are able to move.

Given that the ceiling is collapsing? It sure seems like he should be.
