Thrive to spite them
Although I was pretty much cough free yesterday (and cough medicine free) I had a cough fit that lasted a few minutes. It was no where near as bad as they have been, but it was back to not being able to stop coughing. So I took the cough syrup with codeine and hopefully that will let my throat and body rest some more.
I'm going to work tomorrow. For a full shift, unless I really start coughing badly and can't make it through.

On the lighter side - someone (here?) pointed me to a site called Frock Flicks - about costuming in movies - the good, the bad, the ugly, the hysterically wrong. Next time I got out and the entrance ramp to the highway is closed, I'm taking it as a sign to turn around and go home. 20 minute drives should not take an hour and a half.

I went to work. I lasted until 11ish. I started coughing off and on before that and the coughing wasn't that bad, much shorter in duration but still I was coughing so hard I was retching.
My manager said if I needed to go home. I'm not coughing now, but I also haven't said anything in about 1 1/2 hours. So tomorrow I'm going to go back and he's going to try to find something I can do off the sales floor that requires minimal talking.
I did go to the store and get Afrin and I'm back on cough syrup. I have to remember to take the decongestants to work so I can keep up wtih them.
And Will's not feeling well, he said he was going to go home and get some rest and maybe come see me later but I told him to stay home and rest. Plus although the roads don't seem that bad (it's lightly snowing, there's no real ice) there are lots of car accidents.
