Mal: Inara, think you could stoop to being on my arm? Inara: Will you wash it first?

'Heart Of Gold'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Good test~ma, sj!

I hope the drugs have broken the cough cycle, askye.

effect (affect? I never get those right)

This is how I remember them: You affect something to cause an effect, and A comes before E.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

You affect something to cause an effect

Although (as I know most people here know), "affect" can be a noun and "effect" can be a verb, because they are tricksy bastards.

t edit But yes, Ginger's usage rule is the most predominant, by a vast, vast margin.

Herding cats for fun

There is a reason I want laudanum

Whaaaat? That's available today? Thought it was all history. Gotta check it out because it would look nice filed with the absinthe.

Put out fresh syrup in my hummingbird feeders. Hung one in new spot. Wondered if bird would like it. Bird responded by zooming over for a snack, flashing by my face and then flying around high over my head. So awesome. Close enough to feel a puff of air and hear the swish of feathers over the buzz of flight. Reckon she likes me!

One of the little ones has gotten big enough to look at me over the rim of the nest. It's all beak and beady eyes (Beady Eyes is right!) The twins sit surprisingly still. Perhaps conserving their energy for growth. Wondered if I would ever see them move, then noticed one long thin white tongue flicking about overhead in a playful fashion. Hilarious! The babies play. Bork bork bork...
